Parking in the lot is $7 in the summer if you drive your car.

Description

This is a short 0.5-mile (1-mile round-trip) ride along the unpaved Old Angora Ridge Rd. Pick up the trail on the south end of the parking lot.

A short climb leads to Lower Angora Lake. Continue on the road a little longer to reach the pristine Upper Angora Lake and the resort, which is open for day visitors; the Angora Lakes Resort has famous lemonade, along with sandwiches and other sweet treats for purchase. There are bike stands for you to lock up your bike if you wish.

There is an excellent beach on the northwest shore of Upper Angora Lake and cliff jumping here is quite popular along the south side of the lake. There are beautiful water cascades coming down off the peaks into the lake in early summer.
