Description

The Thousand Step Trails starts at the top of Stanton Street. After about 0.1 miles, it joins up with the Palisade Canyon Loop. The next 0.75 miles are a doubletrack dirt road with grades under 10% for the most part. If you are on a bike, continue on the Palisades Canyon Loop and leave the Thousand Steps Trail to the hikers at 0.85 miles.

At this point, the trail gets much steeper (20% to 40% grade at times) and eventually becomes a singletrack hike up to Ranger Peak.
