Description

The trail starts with a reinforced creek crossing located north of the Lake Fairfax inlet bridge. After crossing the creek, take a left to continue on the trail. The north section of the trail is off camber and filled with roots. A mound of dirt on the left side of the trail serves as an optional technical feature.

Further on, two stepping stones on either side of a downed tree create a mandatory technical feature. If you don't feel ready to ride this feature, dismount your bike, as losing your balance could mean a tumble into the creek to your left.

Next there is a creek crossing, requiring a diagonal traverse of the creek to reach the other side. Do not continue to the right at the crossing, as this path veers off the main trail.

Once across the creek, continue to follow its banks. There are numerous trails that turn off to the right, but these lead to neighborhoods and will take you out of the park. The trail continues south and you'll encounter a log roll, after which the trail starts to climb. At the top of the climb, there is a section of rock slabs that can be rolled. Next, there is a small log crossing before two more trails branch off to the right. To stay on the Bentana Park Connector, keep left.

The trail ends with a left turn towards a narrow wooden bridge over the creek that leads to Rails to River Trail across from its intersection with Upland Trail.
