This is a high elevation forest trail with a north-facing aspect for quite a distance, so snow persists into May or June on a normal year. The Bryan Meadow at the top can be very wet as well.

Description

This is the upper section or NE fork of Sayles Canyon. It's much more manageable than the other fork. The top of the trail (east end) connects to the hiking-only Pacific Crest Trail in Bryan Meadow, so riders will need to turn around there and ride back down the way they came.

This trail is best reached on a bike by riding over Sierra-At-Tahoe following the Sugar and Spice Climb route.
