Description

Just east of the off-leash dog park (in the same parking lot), this wide trail can be tackled in both directions.

Firt, take a right at the fork (counter-clockwise). This direction will give you an easier/longer ascent and a fast/short descent. The other option continues straight at the fork, and riders should expect the exact opposite – stout/short ascent and long/slower descent. There is a very quick, but fun, technical section at the top (intermediate/difficult). There are some spots where a fall would be quite nasty.

This is open space, so watch out for hikers, dogs (leashed), and horses. This is a popular dog area, so be prepared for a lot of traffic on weekends. Best to do this during the weekday.

CAUTION: This is rattlesnake country, so keep an eye out. Also, know the difference between a bull snake and rattlesnake. Here is more information. Give snakes a wide berth, and DO NOT kill them. Call CR animal control if in doubt.
