This loop around Hurd State Park takes you up to the top intersection spot via Getting to the Top where you can hop onto Crisscrossing Trail down some nice runs and back up again. Afterward, the trail rolls halfway down to the river overlook on the River Vista Loop and then all the way down to the river on the Red (River) Trail. Finally, climb back up and you're done.

This loop starts off on Getting to the Top (red & blue blazes) and the transitions to the River Vista Loop (yellow blazes) to the CT River Overlook before doubling back to the Red (River) Trail down to the river.

The loop ends with a steep climb up White Trail back to the parking lot. There are lots of options to get side tracked on along the way.

Also, this is a good place to introduce a new rider to singletrack trails. The terrain is rolling, and with a variety of terrain, you can really choose your own adventure.
