“A steep and rocky singletrack with tight switchbacks.
”
The Burnt Cabin Trail is a rough and rowdy way to access the Walla Walla trails from the Burnt Cabin trailhead.
It rolls out and skirts the edge of a ridge before dropping into a series of tight switchbacks above Burnt Cabin Gulch. This section can be quite tricky and challenging. The sections of trail in between are much more rideable.
At the bottom of the drainage, the trail levels out and crosses the creek. Afterwards, the route bears left towards the south fork of the Walla Walla River. Look out for debris on the trail from past forest fires and mudslides.
