Description

From the east, the trail starts with a short, punchy climb that backs off in the first half mile. From there, it parallels the base of the mountains and eventually begins a steady descent to the end.

If you're looking for a little more singletrack, check out the Bonneville Shoreline Trail (BST) - UMNH Upper Loop Trail for a little extra mileage and a quick, fun detour. Near the end, the glass-faced Natural History Museum of Utah passes by on the right, and just beyond it is the Red Butte Garden. Keep following the trail until it connects with Red Butte Canyon Road.

This is a very popular multi-use trail so expect plenty of company and yield appropriately.
