Family Friendly This is a good beginners trail; it's flat and has few roots. Don't let your kids fall in the poison ivy. :)

There's a bald eagle nest in a tree between the North and South Trail. Please stay on the trail and don't disturb the eagles.

Description

A very fun ride, similar to Miller's Meadow in Wichita. This is a new trail in 2016, it needs to be burned in, so get down there and ride!!

Surprisingly, I didn't encounter any sandy spots on the South Trail like you might find close to rivers.

Designed for bikes, trail runners, and walkers, watch out for each other and share the trail. The trails are not directional, so watch for oncoming bikes, especially in the connecting trails.

View of the Arkansas River along the trail. Surprisingly, there's little sand along this trail.

This is a path along the top of a river dike and will be the connection to the trail being built along the river in 2016.
