Description

This trail uses horse and fire road doubletrack to connect Brown County State Park and Yellowwood State Forest. Many of the trails that connect the two parcels of land have historically only been open to equestrian use.

With a long history of horse travel, it is important for riders to be very respectful when encountering horse riders. When you encounter those on horseback, stop and ask for directions on how to safely pass. These trails have previously been horse only, and mountain bike use of them depends on mountain bikers ensuring good interactions.

The trail leaves the Brown County State Park Camp Grounds on a fire road. The fire road intersects with a horse trail. Mountain bikers may go west towards Yellowwood State Forest. Follow the signs for the 10 O'Clock MTB Trail. This is back country riding as it heads out of Brown County State Park. Expect trails that will stay muddy longer then the mtb trails in Brown County State Park. Please make sure you are prepared for a backcountry experience. Riders should be self-sufficient as they will be heading outside of the State Park.

Miller Ridge in Fall, looking East. You can just see the trailhead of the 10 O'Clock Line Trail branching to the left up ahead, and a marker for the Crooked Creek Connector to the right. Miller Ridge continues to the right just past that marker.
