The North Trail is one of the original horse trails in the area. Located on the north side of the road, this trail is an 18' wide mowed grass corridor. The surface cut down a foot into the ground with horse hoof craters everywhere. If you catch this trail on a super dry day where the horses have cut up their own craters, it may be passable.

Between the Wildcat Trail and the Turkey Bluff Trail section, the soil is made up of red clay which takes weeks to dry out. Be warned that the trail has recently been re-routed off of the old beat-down ditch. The new trail is even muddier than the old due to high traffic from the adjacent stables, and lack of trail conservancy on any of the rainy days.

As trails on the south side of the road boast gravel fill to keep the mud at bay and provide a much nicer riding experience, only use this trail to access other areas or to transport you from one part of the park to the other.
