Overview

The Flow is a point-to-point route starting at the top of Brockway Mountain and ending on the west side of Copper Harbor. Most often the route is done as a shuttle.

Need to Know

Check in with Keweenaw Adventure Company for a shuttle to the top of Brockway Mountain.

Description

The Flow is one of Copper Harbor's longest descents.

From the parking area, ride west down the road and then duck into the trees on your right. The Flow starts as an easygoing route in the trees. As the trail comes to the intersection with Overflow, the views toward Lake Superior open up. Take a moment here to stop and check out the craftsmanship of the cedar-planked gap jump that crosses overhead.

From here, the route transitions into its middle section. Expect a few turns on steeper slopes. You'll be back in the trees, although not as dense as the upper portion of the route. Through here, there are also some longer sections where you can pick up speed.

The lower section of the route has lots of berms, twists and turns. The classic rocky soil of Copper Harbor will certainly have you checking your speed.

The finale of The Flow is exciting as it runs along a rocky cliff into a wooden cantilevered bridge, exiting into a tight berm, finally ending at Lake Shore Drive.

From here, you can cross the road to ride back to Copper Harbor via singletrack or turn right to pedal pavement back to the shuttle for another run.
