It is advisable to avoid during deer hunting season.

Description

Miller Ridge is a combination of gravel forest road and doubletrack logging roads. It does have several steep sections, and the southern section has some Forest Service water bars.

This is an active forest and riders may encounter horse riders, loggers, hunters, Purdue Research students, and Forest Service personnel. This route is also used for handicap hunter access, so you may encounter hunters on atvs during hunting season. Ultimately, this trail will provide a hub for connectivity to the singletrack trails within Yellowwood State Forest and to connectors to Brown County State Park and Hoosier National Forest.

The northern parking lot is referred to as the Upper Handicap Hunter Parking Lot and the lower parking lot is referred to as the Lower Handicap Parking Lot. The nearest facilities are pit toilets about two miles south of the trail at the Boat Ramp. This is backcountry riding, and riders should be prepared to be self-sufficient.

Miller Ridge in Fall, looking East. You can just see the trailhead of the 10 O'Clock Line Trail branching to the left up ahead, and a marker for the Crooked Creek Connector to the right. Miller Ridge continues to the right just past that marker.
