Description

This trail is the former wagon road connecting Auburn to the confluence. The primary use of this trail for mountain bikers is to connect the Auburn State Recreation Area parking lot located on Russell Road to other trails that are located in the area, though it can be begun from either end. Depending on the connecting trails, this trail can be mixed into a larger ride.

The grade of the trail is moderate, expect for the lowest 1/4 mile which is steeper. There are several vista points along the way where benches can be found. Confluence "down" is part easy and part very techie, so if yer an elder like me there's a few spots to hike-a-bike. Lots of hikers on Stagecoach so PLEASE take it easy.
