Frazer Mountain's summit is above 12,000 ft, and the route to get there is steep in places and requires endurance. For those who don't wish to summit, there are lots of short spur trails built for mountain biking that can be accessed from this road.

From mile 1.2 on Bull of the Woods Road, turn right onto Frazer Mountain Road and ride around a bend onto an open northwest facing slope. Continue climbing up a steep pitch known as Big Daddy, then the road mellows out a bit for the next mile and a half. After passing an open area with views of Kachina Peak and TSV's slopes, you'll come to a point known as the Top of the World. There is a sign here, and a bench above the road to rest and enjoy the views.

After the Top of the World, the trail makes a switchback and climbs southwards to treeline, passes the High T and continues traversing the mountainside at treeline for a while. Once above the trees the trail makes a gradual left turn and fades just below the summit.

From here, you can descend the same route and explore the trails on Frazer's westerly slopes, or continue up and over Frazer's summit to link up with the Wheeler Peak trail at the wilderness boundary and ride that trail down to the other end of the High T. If you take this route, there are options to ride back around to the west side or descend the northerly trails on Bull of the Woods Mountain.

This is a high alpine environment, be ready for the weather to change quickly. Please respect the wilderness boundary, as cyclists aren't permitted to use trails in Wilderness areas. Anticipate horses and hikers especially if you descend the Wheeler Trail.
