Steeper climbs and descents. Lots of gullies and log crossings with a few small bridges.

Description

The Advanced MTB Loop at Preddy Creek Park has longer and steeper climbs/descents than anywhere else in the park. It's a nice mix of tight corners and faster sections that never get too broken up. There are quite a few log crossings and two of them are tall with a tricky approach. This is all tight singletrack, if you have wide bars you'll need to weave them between a few trees to avoid catching a bar end.

Quite a few fun features exist on this trail. These include bermed turns, deep gullies that g-out your suspension, a log ride, log crossings, short ladder bridges, pump track like rollers, short rock gardens, a 3ft boulder to drop off of, small creek crossing, and mildly technical climbs. There are also two short optional extensions in the trail. One dips in and out of a gully as you follow it downhill. The other has two short bridges into a long bermed turn that finishes up with bottoming your shocks out through a gully.

After this gully, there is a small creek jump! However, I don't recommend using it now. It was great when first made, but the approach is now awkward with rough roots, and the jump is worn down.

Mud and ice all over the trails, but it was nice to get some miles in.
