Description

This trail is the singletrack portion of the Kirkham Ridge Trail and is a great way to access a number of other loops. The easiest loop to put together is to the ride the Ridge Trail to the Link Trail and then return on Warm Springs. Putting together a loop with Gates Creek is also a possibility. Or, using the ridge trail to access the Red Mountain Lakes is another option.

Given that this is a ridge, trail there are lots of ups and downs and traveling across mountain ranges. Also, you'll be moving across different fire landscapes. You can see some of the recent fires from the aerial imagery, so bear in mind that these sections may have more downed trees to climb over the earlier in the season you attempt the trail.

The trail starts at Bull Trout lake simply because it provides better access to the recommended loops. If your goal is to just ride this trail then it might be best to actually ride it in reverse.

There will be hike-a-bike sections in either direction so this cannot be avoided.

Some really nice sections, but any thing with moderate slope has been reduced to trenched out cobbles by dirt bikes. Lots of pushing. 36mi — 11h 00m
