Description

This trail starts off of Kirkham Ridge and then descends to Warm Springs. In this direction, there's minimal climbing and lots of descending after working hard on the Kirkham Ridge trail to get there. This trail features a lot of open ridge riding and has some immense views.

The trail can be ridden in the opposite direction, but be prepared for a lot of switchbacks in the first couple of miles. If you are out of gas by the time you hit the first peak then it is best to turn around and try another route. Once you reach the second peak you'll have lots of mellow climbing along the ridge for a long time with one last grunt over the top.

Also, you'll be moving across different fire landscapes. You can see from the aerials some of the recent fires, so bear in mind that these sections may have more downed trees to climb over the earlier in the season you attempt the trail.
