Description

This newly christened trail is a quick, but not fast singletrack that snakes down a moderate hill. The start of the trail can be hard to find, but look right at 1.4 mi after your the first turn onto the upper portion of the Wintergreen Loop. The trail is typical Catskill rough with a lot of rock gardens and roots to bump over, mixed with mossy/leafy track. Not the fastest you'll go on a bike, but it has quick downhill sections particularly through the switchbacks on the second half.

The highlight of this path is the 3 mini-quarries that the principal trail designer, Kevin Young, artfully negotiated. So much fun! ...and technical. Make sure to brake left at 0.4 mi as there is a loop de loop through the best one that you might ride by without seeing. They all consist of loosely laid bluestone nestled between 4-8 foot walls of big, solid rock.

Ridden in reverse, the sloped sections are quite a challenge.
