Description

Braddock Trail is a fire road / walking trail that provides access to Frick Park's eastern trails and connects the park to the regent square neighborhood at two points off S braddock ave near the Frick Park Tennis courts on the Northern End and via Allanby ave on the southern end (a popular connector to post ride beers at Dee's Six packs and dogs).

You can also access Braddock Trail Alternate, Dinky Bridge, and Backyard Trail directly from this trail.

Side view of 2nd bridge and 3rd bridge below with wide, steep berm between the two. Both cross the same ravine.

After the s-turn berms, there is a roller and then a double jump before you merge with the main, multi-use trail (see bench in background). Check your speed.
Sep 26, 2019 near Swissvale, PA
Below the two bridges, the trail becomes more gravelly over exposed red clay, because of frequent city water runoff. Avoid after a storm.
Sep 26, 2019 near Swissvale, PA
This is the second of 3 bridges, at a somewhat low point in the ravine just past the rock garden. Best to maintain speed to get up the steep roots between the trees on the other side.
Sep 26, 2019 near Swissvale, PA
There's a few tricky rock gardens and exposed roots on this trail. Best to keep your momentum and not touch the brakes when wet.
