The trails at Beacon Hill and Camp Sekani utilize areas of public and private property. Respect boundaries and stay on the trails so that these locations continue to be great areas to bike in Spokane.

Overview

This featured ride makes use of trails from easy to advanced but average difficulty is easy/intermediate. Ride arounds are nearby for the hard sections. The most difficult section is on Evil Twin close to the base of the Towers.

Need to Know

The area is sandy by nature, and as such, traction can be an issue to riders not used to these conditions. Deer are common along portions of this route, be wary about spooking them.

Description

This ride will give you a quick flavor of what Sekani/Beacon has to offer. Namely great singletrack leading through high desert woodland, exposed rock, and areas with mild exposure. With a nod to XC and a bit of all mountain riding, this loop should quickly give riders a knowledge of the trails in the area.

In 6.3 miles it ties together the following trails in order: Up Chuck, Bastard Son, Bastard Son Segment, Good Behavior, Disorderly Conduct, House Arrest, Yo-Yo, Evil Twin, Good Twin, The Yard, Upper Dan, and Rabid Rabbit.

It does leave out a few choice trails such as the Esmeralda Trail, Pop Rocks , and the Downhill Course. But if you're willing to put in some extra work you can easily add these to the tour.
