Slipping through some moss-covered boulders on the Wilson River Trail.
Jul 20, 2013 near Banks, OR
Roughly just under the max altitude on this trail (a little over 1800 ft) and about 5.5 miles from the east starting point, after all that climbing its worth the moment to stop and take in this view.

The trail is tight with good grip on dirt and fir needles. The foliage can be close, but fortunately there are very few nettles.

Beautiful, lung-buster climb immediately after turnoff from Elk Creek trailhead, Less than 1/4 mile long

Simply gorgeous trail. Looks like this most of the 3.5 miles to Kings Mountain trailhead.
