The long climb toward Harts Pass. Don't let the bark beetle infestation deathscape bother you. A Forest Service employee in Colorado told me it's natural and the regrowth there is underway, which I saw for myself.

Toward the bottom, there are fun rocky descents (technical, but doable for many intermediate riders) amid maples and other deciduous trees. <br> <br> Because some hike-a-bike rocky climbs follow, one wishes the Forest Service would build a connector trail northwest to Forest Road 5389 at this location.
