Description

This is a popular ride near Las Vegas. Trail conditions range from loose, rocky, and dirty to tight, loamy, tree duckin & dodgin with a smathering of rocky/rooty obstacles and small jumps. Whatever you want to call it, I call it fun!

The trail is best downhill, but it's a 2-way trail. It's a good idea to mount a bear bell on your handlebar to help alert other trail users of your approach and always watch for riders climbing up!

If you're going to shuttle it, park a few vehicles at the bottom (there will be a brown mile marker looking trail sign with the numbers 530 on it that you can see from the road), load the bikes on the shuttle vehicle and drive to the top. At the obvious parking on the left on Hwy. 158 the trail starts half a city block to the east.

There will be several opportunities to take a wrong turn and ride another trail but not to worry....they all end within a 1/2 mile of each other. If you stay on the "most used" looking trail you'll be fine. The most common "wrong turn" is at the road marked 530 on the map. Hang left as a right or straight will take you through Cowboy Wash Trail.

Repeat as needed.
