Catch Keyauwee near the bathroom in Woodrun camp. The trail starts with a nice climb and several switchbacks before a quick, rocky descent into a flowy section in the forest. After another fast and rocky descent through two giant berms, there is a short, but fairly steep climb where you can take rock-garden options at the left fork of the trail.
From here the trail has been redone and has a fantastic downhill section before the creek crossing that includes doubles, rollers and a log ride. After the creek crossing there are several up and downs before a lung-buster climb up to the crossing of the Uwharrie hiking trail. Follow the climb to the road and turn around and do it backwards for another fun downhill.
Had a minor crash on a descent - put a gash in my knee and had to walk/ride out. Knee/elbow pads are a must on this trail from now on. Sharp stones!
