Need to Know

Do not ride beyond the wilderness boundary.

Description

This trail is accessed just before you reach the upper Herb Martyr parking area. Simply park at Herb Martyr and backtrack to the entrance of this trail.

This is one the only substantial doubletrack trails in this area of Arizona that is not typically inundated with motorized traffic. Follow the trail as it climbs (steep in sections) toward the higher ridges of the Chiricahua mountains. After about a mile and a half, the trail transitions into singletrack at the Wilderness Boundary.

Unfortunately, bicycles are not allowed beyond this boundary, and your best bet is to turn around and enjoy a fast down hill section or connect into the Basin Trail #600 to enjoy some technical backcountry singletrack.
