Overview

Smith Mountain Lake State Park trails have some nice rolling hills and go along some nice parts of the lake. Along this route, there are plenty of places to stop and have some nice views of the lake and some of the coves. These trails are used by hikers.

Need to Know

This is in a State Park so admission is required.

Description

For this route, started off at the Walton Creek Trail and rode that for a little over a mile. Crossed the street and rode the Striper Cove Trail. Some of the Striper Cove Trail is overgrown but passable.

Then rode the Turtle Island Trail. Crossed the street and did the Chestnut Ridge Trail which will loop back onto itself. Rode back and caught the Buck Run Trail. Turned back onto the Turkey Foot Trail to get back to where I started.
