Need to Know

Trailhead is Kendall Mountain Recreation Area at the end of 14th street. Watch out for moose!

Description

One of the older trails "adapted" for mountain biking in the last 10 years in Silverton. Connecting this trail to lower Boulder Gulch Trail is considered "the town loop", although it's much more fun as an out-and-back. Rooty, rocky, and loamy, it's a good warm up for the rest of the alpine trails in the area.

It has some technical spots, water crossings with bridges in varying conditions, but all easily the walkable. The beaver dam broke a couple years ago and requires walking around during high water. Watch out for moose! People have had some close encounters in the past couple years. The trail passes through private land towards Arrastra Gulch, be respectful so we can keep access for the future!
