Overview

Fast and fun beginner/intermediate singletrack. There are some log overs, a few small ravines, and some steep climbs. Overall, the trail flows pretty well if you follow the directions for the full loop. It is a great place for anyone new to mountain biking. Experienced riders will enjoy the ride as well.

Need to Know

Park at the lake. Trailhead is right past #2 sign with the fish on it.

Description

Start at the trailhead just past sign #2. Head up the hill a bit, then cut in on the left. This section is fast and hilly. A few log overs and small ravines. Follow this until you come to T in the trail. Take a right to continue. Follow the flat section until it becomes hilly again. You'll come to a Y in the trail; take the left. This section is somewhat technical with some roots and small hills.

Now at the covered bridge, take a right up the hill then take another right to continue up the hill. This trail is now a doubletrack horse trail but don't let that fool you. It is rough, hilly, and a little muddy even on good days. Stay on this trail until you get a big downhill. Keep an eye out for the Creekside Trail on the right, about three quarters of the way down the hill. Follow this trail again until you get to the doubletrack.

Continue on and look for a techy downhill on the right. Take this trail and cross the bridge heading towards the road. Take a right towards the covered bridge. Go through the bridge and take a right to ride the Creekside Trail southbound back to the trailhead to complete a full loop.

At the covered bridge, if you stay straight up the hill, there is more singletrack, but it is logged after about a mile or 2.
