Family Friendly State park has swimming, camping area, hiking trails, and cabins. There is also rock climbing close by.

Need to Know

This is a state park trail so the admission for the park is $5.00 but there are other trails to hike as well as swim and camp. There are restrooms available as well as parking at the gate trail entrance and the trailhead. There is also rock climbing close by that can be found on Mountain Project.

Close enough to town to grab a bite to eat or take a picnic lots of areas with tables or a blanket on the ground.

Description

Starts out with lots of turns. Watch out for mesquite and cactus all I've the place. Trail continues. Then, a short climb through some trees. Next, there is a longer climb full of large rocks to navigate through could be challenging for some or lots of fun. After the climb, you go into a section with softer dirt, but not soft enough to slow you down. Ride through some tree patches and the winding trail then come up to the the desert which starts off a little steep and narrow, but once through the rocks and trees, it opens up to a nice downhill with a turn than a smaller descent which is a nice finish for the trail. Then through some more trees and turns and back to the trailhead.

Such a fun and short ride to ride over and over again for training. Can be ridden both directions at this time. So change it up a bit. Could also be started from state park entrance gate to change it up even more.
