Family Friendly
Flat and quiet, with no motorized vehicles. Runs through parkway, with playgrounds.
Need to Know
In high water, the river may flood sections of the path. Rain can render the path very muddy, as well.
Description
Starting near the Beaucaire-Tarascon bridge, a walking/biking path departs from the paved roadway and begins to follow the river upstream, through parkways and the Aquatic Center (sailing, rowing, jetskis).
Eventually, the dirt path merges with the Allee de Casino near the Arena. Follow this small road right as it bends to stay close to the river. A few hundreds yards on, the road turns left, but a dirt track continues straight along the river, closed to cars by a cable barricade. Go around the barricade and follow the track between the river and fields of crops and horses.
The river track eventually works left toward the D-986L. Cross over the road to join the
Beaucaire Bike Path, a gravel bike path atop an old rail grade.
