Need to Know

The trails are not well marked and are not well represented by the trail map, so when in doubt, bail out onto the road and follow the ski lifts to the base of the mountain. Most of the doubletrack trails on the mountain will lead you back toward the base of the mountain.

Description

This trail consists of the major road from the summit of Sunrise Peak. After getting off the lift, you'll see an old trail map. Do not let the fact that this is doubletrack fool you into being careless. It is steep and very slick. Use caution, particularly when going into turns. Technically, Collar Bone consists of the upper portion of the road that is mapped but most people will simply continue to follow the road to the base of the mountain. Use this trail to access the other trails on the mountain.
