This nice long forest service road is perfect for those who want a very fast ride without interruption. This is perfect for gravel bikes or those who want to step up from rails to trails rides.

Plenty of parking at the gate. If the gate is open, be aware of vehicles on the road.

This out-and-back mostly doubletrack starts by descending Big Walker Mountain down to the Hungry Mother Creek to then climb Little Walker Mountain. As this road is closed most of the year to motor vehicle traffic, it is perfect for a fast, uninterrupted ride. The last 1.5 miles is permanently gated and is singletrack.

Along the way, you'll pass several bridged creek crossings as well as awesome vistas. There is one creek crossing on the singletrack section that can flood and be un-crossable so pay attention to the weather. This ride is usually well-maintained and easy. Keep in mind this ride does have two very long climbs in excess of 1700 feet.
