There is no water at this trail system and it can be very hot in the summer. Make sure to bring plenty of water.
Description
Sue B Loop takes riders through, and then alongside, various ephemeral washes that are rich with a wide array of native plants. The trail is the most “solid” of all trail segments at the Dolan Springs Trail System, sitting mostly on top of decomposed granite. There are a few rocky technical sections with great views of the picturesque Mt. Mitten and wilderness area beyond. This loop also provides access to the 13th Street Trailhead (via the 13th Street Connector) and shade at the ramada. I would advise riding clockwise and, when you're near the ramada, taking the doubletrack Jeep Trail back instead of the wash. The road is a much better choice and takes you past Mitten Loop Trail, which will be on your left.
