This trail system was sponsored by Deep East Texas Trail, Route & Access Coalition, and built by S&S trails. Riders can expect good flow and roller sections along the ravines after following one of the three entrance trails to a common mix-master intersection.

From mix-master, the Yellow Loop circles the Gilliland Cemetary, intersecting at two points to the second in a series of four of the stacked loops. The upper section of the Blue Loop is relatively flat and the ravine sections flow through some sweet rollers, paralleling the ravines.

Up next is the Orange Loop. This small third loop intersects twice with the Blue Loop and once with the Green Loop. The Green Loop takes you to the opposite side of the main inlet ravine and onto some picturesque sections along the lakeside, before turning back into a densely wooded flat section with good, fast flow.

From there, you can head back through the upper or lower sections of the Orange, Blue, and Yellow loops to the parking area or repeat your favorite loops.

Along the way, there are several bailout points, including the Gilliland Cemetery Road and the old state highway at the southernmost point. The four-way crossing gets you to a flatter section, weaving through Yopon thickets under tall pines. An earlier portion of the trail borders a Red-cockaded Woodpecker recruitment area.
