Be alert for pedestrians and equestrian riders on this popular multi-use trail. This is sometimes closed for special events.

Description

Waterline starts just above Lithia Park, near a large parking area on Glenview Street. From the road it's a gentle climb at first, followed by a very steep, intense grade, after which it is flat for almost a half mile along Ashland Creek. In reality almost all riders use this multi-use trail as a descending exit from BTI and Jabberwocky. However, the occasional cross-country cyclist may ride up Waterline to the Snark Trail.

There is poison oak along parts of this trail. Deer, bears, and cougars have been sighted in the area. Dogs off leash here are a particularly bad idea.
