Family Friendly This is a relatively quiet park with little traffic. There is a nice picnic area close to the parking lot.

Be respectful. It is common to see deer, raccoons and I even rode up on a skunk one time. The volunteer group that maintains the trails has a donation box by the parking area. While not required, any donations get used to purchase gasoline for the mowers and chainsaws used to keep the singletrack clear and to purchase lumber for maintaining bridges over wet areas.

Description

Located in the middle of the park, this is one of the easy trails at Lake Menomin Park maintained by the Menomonie Area Mountain Bike Association (MAMBA).

There is a relatively steep hill from the parking area that you'll need to descend to get to "Central Park". There is an expert trail, an intermediate trail, Holeshot, a gravel service road, and a stairway used by people walking. There is also access to the park on the north side from a footbridge that runs along I-94 from Wakanda Park.

Lake Menomin Park has multiple wide walking trails that are used infrequently, but seemingly more than the singletrack trails are used by mountain bikers.

Twisting through relatively flat terrain, this trail is interesting enough, but is not challenging. I bumped this to easy/intermediate because this trail does have scattered roots that are more than 2" high, but there are not many.

I have ridden this trail in both directions. When I recorded it, I traveled in a clockwise direction, which made it easier to stay on this trail. There is a portion in the northwest section where it intersects with an intermediate-level trail named Schooled, which has a series of 8-12 inch drops going down one a short hill.
