Description

The Challenge Loop starts near the main trail sign that can be accessed by the Entry Connector. From the sign, head right to continue on Race Loop or head left to start in on Challenge Loop (Race Loop will also eventually feed into the Challenge Loop as mapped in the Governors Creek Mountain Bike Trail).

This loop is the longer of the two trails and it serves up some nice, short speed bursts as well as plenty of switchbacks and short climbs. There's also a small downhill rock garden and a jump section, both with clearly-signed bypasses.

Portions of the Challenge Loop are labeled Ghost Loop and Fox Loop. You can skip a portion of the Challenge Loop signed as Fox Loop by taking Fox Loop Return which is 0.3 miles.

Sign is slightly misleading and distances may be off. Go right for Race Loop which will take you directly to Challenge Loop for 5 total miles. Left takes you to Challenge Loop for 3.4 total miles. Do both for Featured Ride!
