Description

The Vista Trail begins at the intersection of the Wildcat Trail and Gold Creek Trail and climbs to a lookout at the top of Green Mountain.

In reality, the viewpoint atop Green Mountain fails to rival those from the Wildcat Trail or Gold Creek Trail. So unless the novelty of reaching the top is important or someone in your party needs to use the outhouse, there's not a whole lot of draw to this trail.

The trail starts off wide and smooth as it climbs gently through the trees. Just before it reaches the clearing with the outhouse, the trail steepens a bit. After the steep section, the trail continues through a clearing and becomes quite gravelly with a few tech spots. Higher up on the trail, a few rock faces are substantially more technical and most riders will walk a spot or two.

Eventually, the trail opens onto a road veering right to a fenced viewpoint.

View from the top. It was too cloudy to see Mt. Rainer.
