Overview

The Brock Creek Trail is a multi-use trail system located on the Bayou Ranger District in the beautiful Ozark National Forest. The trail system consists of two major loops and many interconnecting loops.

The route winds through a thick, mixed hardwood forest with scenic views and beautiful creeks.

Description

These trails was developed by dirt bike riders, so do not be surprised to hear the braap, and ringing of motorcycles coming at speed.

Start at the Zing Trailhead and ride Trail #23 in a counter-clockwise direction. The route climbs to start. It's steady and steep for the first few miles until you reach the nose of a ridge. There's a short respite and then the ascent continues to the junction of Trail #28. Enjoy a quick downhill and then climb up to the head of a drainage past Trail #27.

As the route bends left along the upper side of the drainage, you'll get another short downhill section below a cliff. From there, there's another short climb to the upper edge of the area. For the next few miles, the route meanders along the edge of a hanging valley.

The route works it's way north and east. There's a big descent followed by a steep climb around mile 8. This is the high point along the ride. Continue across a road and stay straight past an intersection with Trail #25. Get ready for a really steep downhill to Whiskey Chute Falls.

The route heads uphill gradually and then steeply past the falls, paralleling Charleston Road. Once the route turns to head southeast along Brock Creek, it descends quickly back to the Zing Trailhead.
