The paper map mentions a seasonal wildlife closure of this particular ridge at a certain time in the spring. Up-to-date info about this will be available at the trailhead and/or the Galena Lodge.

Description

Trails within this area are built in a progressive stacked loop manner, meaning the trails nearest the bottom of the hill, lodge, and parking area are the easiest and they progressively get more challenging the farther into the system you ride. Most of the trails, although short, make up for that with a huge fun-factor built into them.

The trails have been built narrow through the trees with a lot of grade reversals that act as jumps and booters. Plenty of high speed banked corners adorn the switchbacks, and the builders have left in plenty of natural ‘B-line’ features that add fun to it all.

Riding this loop in either direction will get you climbing up one side and enjoying fast fun down the other. The west side of it is lined with many sharp, high-banked corners for railing while the east is littered with larger grade reversals (jumps), tight corners, and several natural ‘B-lines’ just for fun. It’s recommended to ride this one both directions so as not to miss anything.

Fun. More challenging than Senate Meadows - steeper and more technical. Rode counter-clockwise. A few dry, double-switchbacks. Fun downhill.
