Description

Wakina Ridge is one of many great descents in Helena.

Starting from the intersection with Stairway to Heaven - Upper and Stairway to Heaven - Lower, the route runs down the nose of a ridge through big Ponderosa Pines and open views towards Helena.
The first part of the descent straighlines a bit before a series of switchbacks and turns down a steep hillside. This is a more moderate, though longer way to make your way down from the ridgeline when compared to Stairway to Heaven - Lower.

The trail ends at Wakina Gully and Wakina Sky Road.
