Description

To access this trail, head left after the tunnel. Take the first left trail option before the large gypsum plateau. Jump a fence in the open meadow and continue north to a few switchbacks.

After ascending, you turn back south and are rewarded with a technical, roller-coaster traverse on the north side of the Lookout Mountain trail system. Beware of the technical rock sections and rattlesnakes.

The best seasons to ride this area are spring and fall. The grass is usually overgrown on this thin line in summer.

Last day of Spearfish trip. Really cool ride that takes advantages of what the landscape has to offer. Would ride again. 5.4mi — 1h 02m
