The trail climbs ~500 ft. in elevation, traversing in and out of rock outcroppings and through rhododendron tunnels to the well-known High Rocks outcrop. From this point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views to the north as well as look back over Crystal Springs Recreation Area.

There are sections of this trail that mountain bikers are encouraged to dismount and walk due to the steep terrain and large rocks the trail crosses. Be mindful that this trail does take you to the border of the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries Big Survey Wildlife Management Area. If you plan to hike on their property, please be sure to visit their website and follow the rules and regulations they have in place.
