Description

The trail starts at the Snyder Springs Picnic area right off Hwy 75. The Picnic area is tucked in, and easy to miss the first time (or even the second time). There is not a lot of parking at the picnic area so plan ahead if you have a number of cars.

This trail can be ridden as an out and back or combined with the Peach Creek Rd and the lower half of the Peach-Cinnabar Trail to create a loop opportunity.

As an out and back, the grade is moderate while you follow along the creek and then you'll have some steep sections as you gain the ridge line. The section in between the creek and the ridge is steep, but there is a nice little canyon at the top of Gardner Creek.

As you approach the top of the ridge, you'll intersect with the Burnt Creek trail. Stay left at this junction. As you follow the ridge you'll pass a small lake just before reaching the Peach-Cinnabar Trail. This trail does see the trees cut out on almost a yearly basis, but sees very little use once you get about a mile from the picnic area. There are also lots of old mines in the area especially if you do this ride as a loop using the Peach Creek Rd.
