Description

Getting there: From main street, turn east onto Center Street. Center street will eventually turn into Mountain Road which leads right into Dry Canyon. Park at the dirt parking area and unload there.

Dry Canyon is a very steep trail, with many rocky obstacles. If riding this trail, make sure to do it early summer/late spring to avoid overgrown trees and foliage. Start pedaling east from the parking lot heading into the canyon. The first couple of miles here won't be too steep, but will still get your heart pumping. You'll pass through a gate, make sure to close it behind you!

The trail will start to increase its pitch and get a little more rocky. The trees will open up for you into a meadow and start switchbacking up the hillside. The switchbacks are steep and boulder strewn. Hiking may be required if you are not an immortal being. After the switchbacks, the trail will be a little more tame. It will return into the trees and lead you to a fork in the trail.

Going to the right will take you to the South Syncline Trail, while to the left will continue toward the North Syncline Trail. Take the left to finish off Dry Canyon. It will become steep for a minute towards the end. The trail leads to an amazing point at the top that looks down into Logan Canyon, Dry Canyon, and down into Cache Valley. Continue on the trail for North Syncline Trail or turn back around for a gnarly steep descent back to your car!

If you're feeling like you need a longer ride, this trail gives you the option to go through North Syncline Trail and connect to Spring Hollow for a big loop.

Great condition, some small snow patches near the top. Very difficult trail, a fun challenge for advanced/expert riders! 3.2mi — 0h 48m
