The Capitol State Forest is a multi-use trail network and an ongoing logging area. Expect traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian riders some trails are also open to motor vehicles. This is a large forest with many trails and roads. Cell service is poor and navigation can be difficult.

Description

The South Divide Trail is a smooth trail that alternates between wooded and clear cut sections. The majority of the trail has nice flow, minimal obstacles, and good sightlines all of which makes it a good fit for riders looking to take things more casually or for those who want to carry a lot of speed.

There are two road crossings. The first is a steeper paver stone roll onto an infrequently used spur. The second crosses the busier Road C-7000.
