Darkside is the final push up to the top of Mountain of the Rogue. Starting from the upper end of Rat Pack, this route is a seamless transition up and out of a small drainage.

It climbs steeply into stands of madrone and pine around the east side of the mountain. As it wraps around to the north, the route pops out of the trees to an open area and then turns sharply and steeply to the left.

Continue uphill through more dark forest and one really steep switchback before getting to an intersection with Arm Bar and a short connector to the lookout at the top of the mountain.
