Galbraith Mountain is privately owned but trails are created and maintained by WMBC. Galbraith is open to non-motorized users except for hunting and fishing. The area is an ongoing site for logging operations so visitors should be on the lookout for temporary trail closures. Trails are multi-use; expect traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian users.

Description

Straw, along with Stick and Brick form the 3 Pigs a moderate climbing route that leaves across from Checkpoint Alpha and climbs to the lower end of Kaiser. Although 3 Pigs is more challenging and is 0.2 miles longer than the road, it's a lot more fun than a gravel road climb. This trail can be ridden in either direction.

Straw is the top pig on the totem-pole and continues the trench of winding singletrack through pleasant forest. The last bit of trail requires a final push before emerging onto the road near the bottom of Kaiser a short distance above the Blue Rock.

The rest of the climb to summit via the south-side continues as a road climb.
