Description

Parts of this trail are easy and wide cruiser, but a quarter mile stretch (just below Panorama Point) is quite steep, washed out, and will have to be walked by many. Despite that section, this is an option the Mule Deer Trail that has less overall climbing (of course, you could just take Gap Road to avoid both of these little "lobes" off the north side of Gap Road).

It is WELL worth going up to the viewpoint decks for amazing views of the Indian Peaks, Longs Peak, and the continental divide. Despite traversing just below, this trail does not have any of those big views, though it is a nice stretch of forest.
